December Reading Wrap-Up & A Thank You
December was my lightest reading month of 2018, as you’ll see below. For some reason, I took some time off from reading and did other things, like binge watch some really great shows on Netflix, do Christmas-y things like go see the local light displays, drive around neighborhoods looking at lights, watch Christmas movies—you get the picture. All in all, I only have one book to wrap for you, and it’s a pretty great one.
Becoming by Michelle Obama
This book has been on my Want to Read list ever since I found out about it. How could I not read about the Queen herself?
I cannot recommend this book enough. It gave me all the feels and literally made me sob at least 5 times. I absolutely loved reading Michelle’s perspective on certain events and really value her voice. She also provides some great advice at the end of the book about latching onto hope and not becoming cynical, words I am trying to embody.
Seriously amazing. One of my favorite books of this year. Go read it (or listen to it) right now. You won’t be disappointed.
I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads, only because I couldn’t give it more.
So that’s it. My Reading Wrap-Ups have been something I’ve loved doing this year. As you know, I love books and I love reading and sharing that with others brings me joy.
I also want to take the time now to say thank you. Thank you for reading a long. I appreciate you being here and listening to what I’ve got to say.
Be on the look out for my next post—my top favorite books of 2018.
As for now, I hope the New Year brings you lots of great books!
